Founded in 2020, Porto Dance Sessions is a vibrant sanctuary for those who live and breathe music, dance, and authentic connection.

The project was founded by Rickyboom, who was part of the London House Dance scene from 2011 to 2020 and continues to stay connected to the international House Dance community through his work with Empire House Family.

Born from a love for House Dance, music, and community, Porto Dance Sessions was created to offer dancers a space to train, connect, exchange, and grow. What started as a local meeting point has developed into a platform for workshops, battles, club nights, mentorships, and cultural exchange.

The Mission of Porto Dance Sessions

Our mission is to create an inclusive, inspiring, and high-quality space where dancers, music lovers, and creatives can express themselves freely and write their own stories through movement and shared experiences.

More than just events, Porto Dance Sessions is a platform dedicated to nurturing the cultural and artistic heartbeat of Porto. We aim to serve and uplift the local community while opening our doors to the international street dance scene.

From club nights and freestyle jams to battles, workshops, mentorships, and cultural exchanges, every session is built with intention — celebrating diversity, creativity, music, and community.

We proudly collaborate with dancers, DJs, teachers, and organisers across Europe — from Portugal, Spain, and the UK to Lithuania and beyond — strengthening bonds between scenes and contributing to a wider network of dance cultures.

Our vision is simple: to help Porto grow into a key hub where national and international dancers can meet, explore, exchange, and evolve.
